Canopy Cancer Care Piloting 'Heat 2 Cook 2 at their Epsom Clinic

Canopy Cancer Care and Support Crew are working together to provide high needs patients with My Food Bag meals “Heat 2 Cook 2” in a pilot at their Epsom clinic.  The pilot will run until October. They are doing it to support patients (and help Support Crew build their profile) and if the pilot goes well they will add it to the Under the Canopy suite of supportive services.

For many of their clients, cooking a new recipe every night isn’t always achievable. This new bag offers an easier way for families to enjoy a My Food Bag dinner together no matter how much they have on. Families can enjoy the cooking process, which My Food Bag has always offered, a couple of nights a week, then on those days when there’s lots of other things on your plate – relax with the option of heating nutritious My Food Bag meals pre-made by the team with fresh locally sourced produce.

The following is the letter Canopy Cancer Care have sent out to their clients.“You’ve been selected by the team at Canopy to receive a Heat 2 Cook 2 My Food Bag. We know that when you’re dealing with something big, having a couple of meals on hand can make a big difference.   

“So, we’d love to take care of dinner for a four nights for you and your family by organising a My Food Bag Heat 2 Cook 2 Bag for you.  That’s 2 meals to cook, and 2 meals to just heat and eat for four people. We’ve partnered with our good buddies at Support Crew to give you these meals.  All you need to do is click on the link below, enter your details and when you’d like your meals delivered, and we’ll organise the rest.
