Sign Foundry, an award-winning sign writing company in New Zealand, truly believes in giving back to the community. The company runs a ‘Feel Good’ community donation program that allows them to give back to three local community groups every quarter, as chosen by their clients.
The Sign Foundry charity works as follows—every time an invoice is generated, a link with a list of all three charities up for that quarter is added. Clients vote to support the group of their choice. By the end of the quarter, the group with the most votes receive 50% of the assigned community budget. The other two groups receive 25% each, making it a win-win situation for all groups involved. To give a fair chance to everyone, groups are allowed to participate once every 12 months.
Only group community services providing direct support in the local neighbourhood can apply for Sign Foundry Community programme. The three groups selected for the quarter are selected upon the discretion of Sign Foundry Judges; this quarter, Sign Foundry is supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities, KidsCan and Wellington Hospitals Foundation.
Ronald McDonald House Charities supports families with hospitalised children, by providing them with free accommodation and food, helping relieve some stress and anxiety while they are dealing with their child’s wellbeing. Their specialised accommodation locations are located close to all major hospitals across New Zealand.
KidsCan Charitable Trust provides equal opportunity for education for children coming from underprivileged families by giving them an ability to learn and grow, just like anyone else. Wellington Hospitals Foundation, on the other hand, is the official charity for Wellington Regional Hospital, Wellington Regional Children’s Hospital, Kenepuru Hospital, and Kapiti Health Centre, and campaigns for better healthcare facilities.
