Stay in touch and on the right side of the law with an XplMd Bluetooth Headunit

Auckland, October 2009: Keeping in touch is more important than ever for employees and individuals, but an upcoming law change means the use of hand-held mobile phones while driving will be illegal.

From 1 November 2009, the Land Transport (Road User) Amendment will ban the use of hand-held mobile phones and other telecommunications devices, such as Personal Digital Assistants, while driving – but there is a way to keep in touch and stay safe: through the use of a hands-free mobile phone device, such as a Sony XplMd Bluetooth headunit.

These devices can be installed in almost any vehicle and help you stay “plugged-in” with music and mobile calls without affecting your concentration.

The state of the art MEXBT2700 allows you to enjoy the best Sony quality music as loud as you like, and then, if a call comes in the music is paused automatically and you can talk with both hands on the steering wheel thanks to the built-in microphone.

The music streaming functionality allows you to wirelessly play back tunes from a Bluetooth enabled audio device. Using Bluetooth, it's easy to play, pause, skip, fast-forward or back up songs – and key information such as album, artist and track appears on the display through the wireless connection.

You can also sample each track until you find the one you want to play.

Sony’s Bluetooth headunits allow you to listen to music the way it was meant to be heard. The output power of 52W x 4 produces cleaner, more accurate sounds with less distortion and a higher signal-to-noise ratio, while the High and Low Pass Filters allows more control over the system sound by dedicating high tones to the front speakers and low tones to the woofers.

The MEXBT2700 Bluetooth Car Audio Headunit has an RRP of $449.95 is available online at www.sony.co.nz or by phoning 0800 SONY NZ
