With the announcement of the launch of two new Advisory Services, the New Zealand Marketing Association (NZMA) continues to identify and provide resources for the development of specialist areas of marketing.

“These two new services keep business and marketing professionals abreast of the latest techniques and industry information within the fields of Public Relations and Word of Mouth Marketing (WoM).” says Graham Medcalf, the NZMA’s Corporate Services Manager. “This is only made possible through the support of sponsors Network Pr (PR Advisory Service) and The Village Square (WoM Advisory Service).”

General Manager of Network PR Auckland, Jane Dodd says the service aims to fill a gap for marketers.
“We got involved because many of the companies we work with know how to use public relations for maximum return on investment. However, there are many more out there that could benefit by integrating public relations into their planning early on.

“Sponsoring the service gives Network PR the chance to hear from Marketing Association members about their public relations questions, concerns, issues and successes and give them practical information to help make PR work for them.”
The Word of Mouth Marketing Advisory Service assists marketers to grow market share by increasing the number of brand advocates for a product or service through the use of Word of Mouth.

Cornelis Boertjens, Global Connector of The Village Square states that “the impact of implementing Word of Mouth Marketing using our proven 5-step system is cost effective R&D, smart investment choices on innovation and enormous value for your marketing dollar whatever the size or age of your organisation.”
Current resources available through this advisory service include research and case studies from businesses successfully using Word of Mouth. “Make your marketing spend exponentially more efficient and focus on brand advocacy to drive ongoing word of mouth” says Cornelis.

These two new services complement the NZMA’s 16 existing Advisory Services, which provide invaluable best practice guidelines, case studies, articles and other useful information. The following services are available online at www.marketing.org.nz:
