A free app for iPhone and iPad that gives users a digital VIP pass to the NPC tournament has been launched today by New Zealand’s number one news site, Stuff.co.nz.

The RugbyHeaven NPC app provides full access to New Zealand's best sports journalism and all the information throughout the tournament, including;

  • Live game commentary
  • Fan chat during games
  • Player line-up listings
  • Photos and video from the games, training and all the action during the week
  • Points table to review the latest standings
  • Team form guide
  • Head to head – shows how the teams have rated in previous clashes
  • Game statistics from this and recent NPC seasons.

Stuff.co.nz Editor Mark Stevens, says the app is available free to download now from the App store and will give users full coverage and content free for the whole ITM tournament which runs from today, through to the finals weekend of 3 September 2011.

“Whether you are at the stadium, on the couch or in the pub; the RugbyHeaven NPC 2011 app is your sidekick. Not only can you access all you need to know anytime, you can also set up push alerts to bring the game to you. You can receive game reminders, score updates, match statistics updates and a game summary as they play out. If you can’t be at the game, you will always be in the know,” says Stevens.

The latest app offering by stuff.co.nz is part of a dedicated drive to provide more quality products in the digital medium. Most recently, the stuff.co.nz news app undertook an update, a stuff.co.nz Android app was launched in April and the popular RugbyHeaven app has seen more than 25,000 downloads since it was launched at the end of February.
