ABC Childcare Announces Sale

ABC Learning Centres (NZ) announced today it will soon have a new owner.

The ABC bear and his blocks will join the impressive stable of early childhood education brands owned by Kidicorp, a well-respected, privately owned and operated New Zealand company with 110 childcare centres throughout the country.

The acquisition will see the newly expanded Kidicorp group responsible for providing care to around 15,000 children and their families at more than 230 childcare centres employing almost 3,500 staff nationwide.

ABC CEO Rob Facer said there would be exciting times ahead for the combined business.

Kidicorp Managing Director Wayne Wright said he was excited about the possibilities.
“We have a long-term vision to make a positive difference in children’s lives and this amalgamation is a way to continue this vision.”

Settlement is expected on October 28th.
