SEQEL Appoints Chief Executive for Higgins Group Holdings

The Directors of Higgins Group Holdings Limited, the Higgins family and SEQEL are pleased to announce the appointment of David Geor as the new Chief Executive of Higgins Group Holdings Limited.

SEQEL’s Partners, Don Jaine and Mark Ashcroft, describe David as a highly experienced Chief Executive who has held a range of large scale leadership roles throughout New Zealand over the last 20 years. His previous mandates have included Managing Director of Spotless Services Limited, one of New Zealand’s largest service based organisations. Prior to that, David held a leadership role in the sector with Excell Corporation and has been an Advisor to EDI Downer. In his earlier career David held Chief Executive and Senior Executive positions within the horticulture, dairy, meat and fishing industries.

Bernie Higgins will continue as the Executive Director of the Company. David’s appointment is a significant step for the Higgins Group as it will be the first time in its 55 year history that the Company has been fully led by a non-family member. Bernie Higgins and the wider family are excited about the opportunity that David represents for continued growth and evolution of the Higgins Group.

David is looking forward to joining Higgins Group, one of New Zealand’s largest and most respected infrastructure companies. He is also positive about working for such a high profile New Zealand owned family business. David begins his role with Higgins in March.
