The Radio Network announced today that sport tragic Andrew Mulligan will be switching radio waves to co-host the Radio Sport Breakfast Show later in 2013. His co-host will be Mark Richardson, releasing Tony Veitch to concentrate on his Newstalk ZB Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning programmes.

Mulligan is well-known for the role he plays as a host for The Crowd Goes Wild and says he’s excited about being able to talk more sport.

“It’s a great career move for me and one I am thrilled about. Radio Sport is the home of sport, it was the first fully dedicated radio station to sport, so to be part of the breakfast team is a huge privilege for me.”

The Radio Network’s General Manager of talk programming, Dallas Gurney, says he is a welcome addition to the team.

“His love of sport is infectious and I know he will be a big hit with listeners. With Andrew and Mark together there’s no doubt the show will be hard case.”
