The 35th annual Woodhill 100 will once more draw New Zealand’s fastest and bravest offroad race drivers into the depths of the massive pine forest northwest of Auckland at Queen’s Birthday Weekend.

Once more a round of the national championship, New Zealand’s oldest and toughest one day offroad race and the oldest continuously-run motor race event in New Zealand, attracts drivers from as far away as Christchurch and Te Anau.

Heading north from the chilly southern climate this year is Rosco Gaudin in the ex-Lawlor Edge Barracuda (pictured). Gaudin won class 10 at the opening southern round of the 2015 ENZED Offroad Racing Championship and will be hoping to go one better at Woodhill than in 2014 when he made the same pilgrimage and only completed the qualifying sprint on the Saturday.

Jono Climo will bring his class-winning Toyota Hilux Trophy Truck out for what qualifies as his ‘home’ race – he won the unlimited truck class last year. He will be up against multiple outright winner Raana Horan in his similar-sized Nissan Titan V8.

Another multiple winner, Tony McCall, has also confirmed his entry, driving the ENZED-backed BSL Terra Chev.

The 2015 Stihl Shop/North Harbour Isuzu Woodhill 100 will be held in the northern reaches of Woodhill Forest on Sunday May 31.
