One of the biggest questions people ask themselves when it comes to methamphetamine, or meth testing a house, is what is the likelihood of this issue affecting me? As well as testing the samples for the drug known as methamphetamine, MethSafe’s analysis also shows if there are any traces of the manufacture indicative precursors chemicals, ephedrine, pseudoephedrine and amphetamine.

In the Auckland region, just over 40% of all the dwellings that MethSafe have sampled for methamphetamine in the last two years have returned a positive result for traces over 0.02µg and of these, 40% were over the threshold limit, identifying that methamphetamine is located in the property above the NZS8510 standards level of 1.5µg/sample. What this means is that one out of six properties they test in Auckland have been above the guideline threshold.

These are just the statistics for meth testing properties in Auckland, but the numbers hold true for the other locations where they are based. MethSafe cover the whole Auckland area, plus Bay of Plenty, Waitkato, King Country, Christchurch and Queenstown, and everywhere in between.

People from all socioeconomic backgrounds use and sell methamphetamine, and MethSafe have tested and detected P contamination in farm worker’s houses in Te Kuiti, baches in Coromandel, campervans in Papamoa, and million dollar waterfront apartments in Auckland, so the answer to the question of what is the likelihood of this issue testing you, is there is every chance that it will. To be sure of a confidential and completely discreet meth test, book a NZS8510 compliant Methamphetamine Screening Assessment today.
