New Zealand dance crew Khaos bagged the Gold Medal for International Junior Division Champions at World Supreme Battlegrounds 2017 in Sydney, Australia last 8th of October.

Khaos is a junior dance crew from Neverland Studios in Auckland, with its members’ ages ranging from only 8 to 12 years old. The group competed in the hip hop dance competition against other renowned dance crews from countries all over the southern hemisphere, including Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines.

World Supreme Battlegrounds (WSB) is the biggest international street dance competition in the southern hemisphere, acting as a dance platform to showcase skills and talent, and build communities by crossing cultural boundaries and fostering relationships between different cultures.

This year, WSB was a four-day event running from the 5th to the 8th of October, with teams needing to compete in the Preliminary round before moving on to compete in the Finals.

Neverland Studios was also represented by two more dance crews, MIDAS and BOSS, respectively placing 5th and 7th in the Varsity category.

The three crews recently held auditions after their successful run at WSB, inviting more talented dancers to join the family in preparation for Hip Hop Internationals 2018.

Locally, the Neverland crews perform at schools and fairs – Khaos performed recently at the Wakaaranga School Fair, and MIDAS rocked the stage at the Hauraki Twilight Carnival in East Auckland.

The whole studio is also currently working on their 2017 show “Dance Wars: The Truth behind the Trophies.” The show will run for 5 sessions at Bruce Mason Centre from the 8th to the 10th of December, featuring two rival dance schools going head to head at a Las Vegas dance competition.

Neverland Studios run adult and kids dance classes at dance studios Auckland wide – with studios in the North Shore, Ponsonby and Pakuranga. Visit their website to view studio timetables for different dance genres and enrol now.
