The Canopy team have been providing world class services in Auckland for over seven years, and during this time they have built a strong team who are all passionate about their patients and the outcomes that matter to them most.  They aim to provide the highest quality of care and will co-ordinate all aspects of treatment where possible.

Support Crew is a free online tool that helps you easily co-ordinate meals and other support from family and friends when you need it most. All you need to do is simply start a Support Page and invite a support crew to join you. People want to help and this is an easy way to let them. Some people love to cook, some are great with the kids, or the shopping or even walking the dog. Let them help you in a way that is meaningful to you both.

The Cancer Society provides a number of free support services to cancer patients all over New Zealand, and their services are designed to provide support through diagnosis, treatment and post treatment. In the Auckland region these services include Information Services – a library at Domain Lodge, a telephone help line, specialist cancer information nurses; Volunteer Driving Service to help patients get to and from appointments; Counselling and Psychology Services – for individuals and groups; Community Liaison Nurses, and Accommodation at Domain Lodge.

Canopy Cancer Care is a proud supporter of Hospice, and they frequently refer their patients to Hospice when they require specialist support and care. Your doctor or nurse may talk to you about Hospice at any stage of your treatment and will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Canopy care for the whole person, not just their physical needs but also their emotional, spiritual, and social needs too, and care for families and friends as well, both before and after a death. Irrespective of where they are, this philosophy of care does not change and everything they provide is free of charge.

People may be referred for hospice care even while they are undergoing treatments for their illness, not just at the very end of life - however, usually people are referred at a time when it is acknowledged the illness is incurable.
