The Frankie Valli tribute show that toured New Zealand this year is returning next year and coming to the Great Lake Centre. The highly successful show, Oh What A Night!, is set to entertain Taupō District in March 2013.

The show, scheduled for Sunday 10 March, was announced this month as part of a seven-date tour of New Zealand. The show is visiting places missed on its 2012 tour of the country.

Oh What A Night! is a production written by producer and creative Paul Holmquist, who also performs in the show. He will be joined by George Solomon, Brandon Albright and Rick Morgan. All four are seasoned performers and they deliver spirited, informative and often funny banter.

The tribute show features all of the original hits from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, including ‘Grease’, ‘Sherry’, ‘Rag Doll’ and ‘Walk Like A Man’. It will also include some of the softer love songs such as ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ and ‘My Eyes Adored You’.

Solomon, who has performed or written with Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder and Harry Connick Jr amongst others, says people go crazy for the tunes of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. He says it’s a show that appeals to the whole family.

Great Lake Centre Event Logistics Manager, Jo Lynskey, says it is great to have a show of such a high calibre coming to Taupō. “It’s really a good sign that Taupō is attracting top quality acts, which is fantastic because it makes great shows accessible to our community,” she says.

Tickets are on sale now from Ticketek.
