CAPE REINGA

Report courtesy of Craig's Computers Services Princess Street Palmerston North.

We left Palmerston North on Friday 20th April on a beautiful cool day,the day continued like that all the way to Wellford where we arrived at 9.15pm..a long day.

Just out of Taumarnui we came apon a young man cycling his way around the world for his charity "Born Free", what made him stand out was he was on a fixed wheel penny farthing!!

Now that is really doing it hard! Colin didn't want to trade bikes..funny that.

We continued on our way today meeting up with the mayor of The Far North District Council, Eyvonn Sharp, a very pleasant lady.

A few photos where taken and we trundle back into our trusty Horizons van making our way to Waikiki Landing arriving around 3.opt.

Final preparations are now being completed here and then it will be time to bed down and TRY to gather some sleep, thanks to everyone who has helped get Colin this far, he will certainly give it his BEST shot but you know that.

More later after we have day one under our belts.

Please forward these reports, and in particular the www.fundraiseonline.co.nz/capebluffsolo.
