Our friendly instructors are all  Swimming New Zealand-qualified with the Assistant Swim Teacher Award (ASTA), along with a National Pool Lifeguard Award to ensure the enjoyment and safety of all our swimmers at all times.

Through our professional delivery of aquatic education to the community, our swim schools will provide swimmers with the means to safely access and utilise the many surrounding waterways of the Wakatipu and Wanaka areas.

Any surplus generated by our swim schools go directly back into the community via the development of initiatives such as our Aquatic Education Programme to improve children’s water safety and to the ongoing operation of Alpine Aqualand and Wanaka Community Pool.

Our facilities

Aqualand Swim School conducts its classes at Alpine Aqualand while Wanaka Community Swim School is based at the Wanaka Community Pool. At Alpine Aqualand swimmers will enjoy our purpose built learners pool maintained at a comfortable 32˚C. The 25m lap pool is also available for our more advanced swimmers which is maintained at a temperature of 27˚C. The Wanaka Community Pool is maintained at a temperature of 29˚C.
