Hamilton’s MediaPA has been contracted to develop social media and integrated online marketing platforms for the world’s largest circulating rugby magazine, published by Media Titles Group Ltd.

The contract has commenced this month with MediaPA providing a proven strategy of social media integration for the new Rugby News weekly digital publication.

Media Titles has more than 50 publications in Australasia and plans to expand its range of publications not only in Australia and New Zealand but also with a similar footprint in South Africa, the United Kingdom and South America.

“Media Titles are wishing to build a comprehensive social media platform for all of their publications with a view to significantly building their database and reach in the online market and Rugby News is the start of this growth,” says Margaret Mitchell, Auckland-based managing director.

“With the addition of social media our publications can transcend boundaries throughout the world,” she said.

“MediaPA have specialised social media and public relations strategies and have put forward a plan which we have agreed to,” Mitchell said.

During 2012, MediaPA successfully implemented social media strategies into 57 businesses of all sizes.

These included Australian company Cortaflex and the worlds’ largest international food service distributor Bidvest as well as New Zealand’s leading party hire company, Carlton.

At the other end of the scale a builder in Thames commented: “MediaPA’s product Brand Booster transformed my business completely and I’m now getting a lot more jobs through increased profile.”

MediaPA managing director Phillip Quay said he is delighted to be working alongside one of New Zealand’s most iconic sporting magazines, Rugby News which moved into the digital arena late last year after 42 years of publication.

“It is an exciting time to see a title like Rugby News moving into the digital arena and social media is going to provide a wonderful way of getting more people engaged with the magazine throughout the world,” Quay said.

“We now live in a global community through social media which provides a wonderful opportunity to re-build readership figures,” Quay said.

“We specialise in highly professional content which is search engine optimised for not only social media but also web sites,” he said.

“Content and database are king on the internet and an integrated approach to online marketing is the best way in which any business can grow its customer base and increase the number of leads,” he said.
