Mum’s get the opportunity to travel to France this Sunday with a special cruise from Lyttelton to Akaroa with Black Cat Cruises.

“We have running this cruise for over 10 years,” Black Cat Cruises Group Operations Manager Paul Milligan said. “It is a really unique opportunity to travel to the French surrounds of Akaroa from Lyttelton via sea and it usually sells out it’s so popular.”

As a special Mother’s Day treat all passengers will receive a cupcake and a glass of bubbles or orange juice as they arrive in Akaroa. The cruise departs at 8.30 in the morning and arrives in Akaroa in time for lunch and a walk in Akaroa before heading back to Christchurch on a coach that leaves at 3pm.

“It’s a really good trip out of Lyttelton Harbour and heading around to Akaroa,” Milligan said. “Passengers get a fantastic view of Banks Peninsula and the chance to see all sorts of marine life, penguins, seals, Hector’s dolphins and the stunning volcanic cliffs beaches only visible from the sea.”
