In-form Berlusconi (Art Major x Anam Cara) could be headed for a Queensland Winter Campaign after he continued his winning ways at Addington over 1950m on Friday.

The Mark Purdon-trained three-year-old recorded a smart 1:57.9 in winning in the slush at Addington. He is from the Black Watch family. He had to be tough on Friday fighting off strong challenged in the final stages. His owners include Phi and Glenys Kennars along with Ken and Karen Breckon of Breckon Farms.

Meanwhile, Fifth Edition (Mach Three x Angela Patron)  had his fourth win from 12 starts when scoring over 2600m from a standing start. He recorded a last mile rate of 2:02.2, the half in 58.6 and the 1/4 in 28.4 to show that this will certainly not be his last visit to the winners' circle.

Three-year-old gelding Estilo (Mach Three x Black Maire) recorded his first win in Australia for his new owners over 2569m recoridng a mile rate of 1:58.6. He started on the outside of the back row and dropped back to tail the field. However, he gradually improved from the 700m mark to go on to win handsomely.

In Perth, on Friday night Our Boy Sue was parked for the journey but came home second while Racketeers Girl sat three wide for most of the journey before hitting the lead and then being run down late to finish a game third.

Sterlish Ran finished third at Cranbourne and has just passed the $100,000 in earnings while at Globe Derby, McCara, was a gallant second.
