Phillip Legg’s extensive history in leadership roles places him as the ideal candidate for re-election to the Waikato Regional Council.

“I am committed to helping to grow our communities and region,” says Phillip Legg.

Prior to being elected onto the Waikato Regional Council, Phillip comes from a long and varied background of leadership roles. “I am proud to be a sergeant in the Royal New Zealand Artillery Territorials,” says Phillip Legg.

Under his leadership as the President of the Morrinsville Hockey Club, the club was able to build new club rooms and hockey fields.

As Chairman of the St John Te Aroha Area Committee Phillip and his team refurbished and extended the St. John Te Aroha buildings. “I am also a member of the St John Central Region Trust Board and Nation Audit and Risk committee for St. John,” says Phillip Legg.

In another leadership role Phillip Legg led the refurbishment of the Auditorium for the Te Aroha Dramatic Society.

Standing for Waikato Regional Council, Phillip Legg will use his wealth of leadership skills to take on various issues effecting people of the Waikato and get them solved. “I have a desire to change things that are not right. I use the courage of my convictions to get things done,” says Phillip Legg.

Phillip believes in thinking outside the box and being able to step back and look at the big picture. “I don’t prejudge, I always try to see both sides of the story,” says Phillip Legg.

Seeking re-election for the Waikato Regional Council Phillip Legg says “I am doer, I only say what is necessary. I don’t indulge in petty politics.”
