Top Kiwi chef Al Brown indulges in the best of Western Australia's food and experiences for television series

Award-winning New Zealand celebrity chef, bestselling food author (Stoked, Fish and Get Fresh), and TV presenter (Hunger for the Wild), Al Brown will 'dish up Western Australia' in the last of a 10-week culinary odyssey television series ‘Dishing Up Australia with Al Brown’.
The programme, airing on Saturday 10 August on TV One, follows Al’s journey into breathtaking Broome and further north into the Dampier Peninsula and Cape Leveque where he gets to sample the region’s unique cuisine.
Al was treated to a truly Western Australian experience for the television series, starting in the pearling capital of Australia, Broome, which is the western gateway to the Kimberley wilderness - home to world famous Cable Beach sunsets and the natural phenomenon of the Staircase to the Moon. Al got to enjoy the tropical oasis of the region with its striking contrasts in colour and culture, while at the same time engaging his senses and taste buds.

The programme also follows Al on a 4WD adventure up the Dampier Peninsula where he catches and cooks some of the stunning local seafood, and experiences first-hand what this remarkable region of Western Australia has to offer. After meeting some of the local characters and visiting his chef mates, Al ditches the 4WD for a Float Plane to view the spectacular Western Australia scenery from above, taking in the stunning landscape of the region.
Dishing Up Australia with Al Brown airs on Saturday 10 August on TV One and is also available on TVNZ OnDemand.
