Trail running designed for all levels of fitness and skill, Mt Lowry Challenge attracts around 400 runners and walkers each year. Challenge your own personal best by following in the footsteps of elite runners like Melissa Moon, Carline Thomas or James Coubrough. Or if you are new to mountain running, this short course has all the elements needed to develop your skills. Walkers, this is one of the best walking races around with plenty of up and down on well formed tracks. The track undulates through beech and manuka forest and enjoys fantastic views over the Wellington Harbour.

Distances:
11.75Km - Bridgedale – This is an 11.75km premier mountain run with 400m climb. The start and finish is at Williams Park, Days Bay, Eastbourne. The MACPAC Junior Challenge ~11.75km, 400m climb will follow the same route as the Bridgedale.
22Km - Vasque –Extreme Mt Lowry Challenge ~22km 1140m climb. This is adventure running at its very best. Over a course of 22km with an 1140m climb, much of the route follows the mountain ridge. As some parts of the track are not well marked, the Vasque - Extreme Mt Lowry Challenge is for experienced adventure racers and mountain runners only.
