Stars from the hit TV series ARROW have confirmed they will be coming to New Zealand for the Armageddon Expo in Wellington from Saturday May 31st to Monday June 2nd following the earlier Hamilton event taking place on Saturday May 24th and Sunday May 25th.

Michael Rowe (Deadshot) and David Ramsey (Diggle) plan to join the already impressive line-up of guests in Wellington who will be in the country for the hugely popular pulp-culture events.

Armageddon Expo Event Director Bill Geradts says he’s stoked Michael and David will be heading to the windy city, “To have these guys on board for Wellington when we’re already got a pretty stacked list of guests heading to the Westpac Stadium is just icing on the cake,” he says.

“Arrow is one of the biggest shows in the country right now and I’m expecting fans will be turning up to meet and get autographs from these guys, not to mention fans of the Game of Thrones and Supernatural series.”

Hamilton’s Claudelands Event Centre will host the top line-up of guests from the small and big screens first up from May 24th and 25th including Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy – Game of Thrones), D J Qualls  (Supernatural, Road Trip, Breaking Bad, Legit) and Jake Abel (Percy Jackson Films, Host and Supernatural).

Leven Rambin (Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters and The Hunger Games) also heads to Hamilton along with Christopher Judge (Stargate SG1), Samantha Ferris (Supernatural), James Patrick Stuart (Battlestar Galactica 1980) and Steven Williams (Blue Brothers and 21 Jump Street original TV series).

Charles Martinet (voice of Mario and Luigi), Paul Eiding (voice actor from Ben 10) and William Salyers (voice actor in The Regular Show) will appear in both Hamilton and Wellington expos alongside international J Pop performer Chii Sakurabi, comic artists Bill Sienkiewicz and Richard Fairgray and comic writer Tom Taylor.

“Our guests really enjoy coming to New Zealand,” says Bill.  “They find that audiences in Hamilton and Wellington are really enthusiastic, interesting and always make them feel welcome,” he says.

As well as big names, huge exhibitors and the biggest display of costumed cult-fans to gather in one place, events will keep the adrenalin flowing throughout the weekend from Cosplay contests to the classic Fear Factor Challenge.

Whatever the niche, Armageddon Expo has it covered.

From its inception in 1995, the Armageddon Expo has grown to become the largest fantasy event in Australasia.  With shows in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Melbourne and Hamilton, the Armageddon Expo embodies the ever-growing pulp culture phenomenon.
