Auckland-based PR, marketing and brand agency Hustle & Bustle this month celebrates its first anniversary and an exciting year of hustling, bustling and practicing the arts of influence.

A year ago Hustle & Bustle hit the ground running when it helped oculablack.com auction Dick Frizzell’s original Mickey to Tiki Tu Meke painting for a record price. Today Hustle & Bustle work with a range of brands from leading, renowned and start-up businesses across B2B, social entrepreneurship, not for profit, food and beverage, beauty, fashion, health, pharmaceutical, sport and automotive sectors to achieve game-changing results.

Hustle & Bustle was co-founded by brand strategist Andrea Hammond and PR and activation suit Gemma Ross who together have 30 years PR, marketing, and advertising experience. The duo identified an opportunity to clash their talents to deliver something unique to the market.

The hybrid agency works best in the sweet spot where influence generates demand for brands beyond the reach of the mainstream methods or audiences.  It’s known for connecting the dots between brand experience, influencer seeding, marketing strategy and sharp PR angles.

This approach has seen the agency tackle diverse and exciting challenges in the past year and go beyond the scope of most advertising and PR agencies including Derek Handley’s ‘theshouldertap’ recruitment campaign, SNS Eat Your Words behaviour change programme in primary schools, Love & Object vintage jewellery brand launch, East Imperial NZ launch, Andrea Moore international fashion collaboration, Hustle & Bustle & Friends curated networking events and money-can’t-buy VIP hosting experiences for Air New Zealand, Vodafone and Westpac. The agency has a number of exciting campaigns in the pipeline for the likes of Bombay Sapphire, Grey Goose, East Imperial, MitoQ and Armstrong Motor Group.

As well as celebrating Hustle & Bustle’s first birthday, the agency marked the move into its first office in downtown Auckland, the recruitment of campaign managers Emily Brown and Kim Witherspoon, contract campaign director Catriona Stewart and freelance creative director Hector Benitez.
