It is with sadness that we farewell the lovely Kris who has been the Residential Manager at this world renowned boutique luxury villa in Vanuatu for the past four years. Kris has been an inspiration to all the lucky guests who have been to stay there and for all her staff and anyone else who came in contact with her, Kris was an absolute delight to work with. As we would all attest, nothing was too much trouble for her and she had an encyclopaedic knowledge of Port Villa and its surrounds.

As a recent reviewer on TripAdviser writes, “A special thank you to Kris, Villa 25s onsite manager, for her friendliness, honesty, good humour and willingness to help us with any of our queries as well as help recommend a fantastic itinerary during our stay. With her easy going nature she is a joy to be around.”
And here’s another. “Kris came and saw us every day with brochures etc. and she recommended all the great spots. She has vouchers for all the activities which can be charged to your room and it actually worked out cheaper with Kris organising it. We got caught out one night at dinner with no cash as the restaurant did not have a credit facility and Kris spoke to them and we had the account charged to our room. Another night there was an error with a restaurant’s bank which resulted in my account being over charged and Kris contacted them as soon as she was able to resolve the matter.”

Kris writes, “I have thoroughly enjoyed my four years at Villa 25; with such an amazing product my job has been very rewarding. We have been lucky enough to attain three significant international awards in my time there - the property is performing well with high occupancy and many returning clients. The unique combination of a third world country and being situated in the affluent Dream Cove handy to downtown Port Vila while being right on the water has given Villa 25 the edge in an emerging luxury holiday destination.

Julynn Gray formerly of Taupo, NZ is taking over the role of General Manager at Villa 25 – she is a delightful bubbly Kiwi lady whom the guests will love. I am moving back to New Zealand to take up the role of Assistant Manager at The Farm at Cape Kidnappers Hawke’s Bay. It will be a magnificent property to be involved with – I look forward to becoming a part of the team.”

Goodbye Kris – you will be sorely missed!
