As usual, Queenstown has been buzzing this summer with the Pro Am Golf and the Mototatpu Race, and now they are gearing up for the Autumn Festival at Arrowtown. The friendly folk at Network Car Rentals make your travelling easier and safer with their competitively priced, quality rental vehicles for the budget conscious traveller and they are happy to share all the details of the festival below, starting with the Ray White Arrowtown Autumn Festival Art Exhibition Opening on April 10 from 7.30pm, dubbed one of the most anticipated events in the Wakatipu Art Calendar.
The next day sees Street Theatre with Adrian Kirk from 10.30am which is free and especially for kids and family fun and sees international award–winning performer Adrian Kirk entertaining again this year at the festival. The Arts and Crafts Market goes from 10am to 4pm as well starting on the 11th and is a village wide market experience featuring over 100 stalls with some of the best New Zealand made products ranging from art and crafts to artisan food.
The Autumn Festival Vintage Car Display also starts on the 11th and is open from 9.15am to 1030am where people can admire the fine collection of vintage cars parked on Buckingham Street before they head off on their rally. On the same day and not to be missed is the Ray White Arrowtown Street Parade at 2pm where people can watch Buckingham Street come to life with a parade of fabulous floats and colourful characters.
Also starting on the 11th April is From Downton to Sex and the City every night at 7.30pm. This is the story of how fashion changes through the ages showing how fashion and make-up have changed dramatically through the last 100 years. This show takes people on a visual, theatrical and musical journey of facts, frivolity and memories as they explore the ever changing look of the contemporary woman.
