Amy-Rose Goulding of Julian Danger and Shuai Zhang of ITZME showcased their autumn/winter 2016 collections to a packed Runway venue at the Wella Presents Fashion Week show.

The partnership was a nod to beautiful tailoring and commercially exciting garments, under a collaboration of striking hair trends created by star stylists Raymond Robinson of Servilles ,and Brad Lepper of French Revolver Studio.

Julian Danger “Honey” is a grown up but sweet collection featuring pastel pink and blue contrasts with grey marles, classic navy and graphic black and white in a mix of bold print, luxurious textured knitwear and leather.

Each year designer Amy-Rose Goulding offers two distinct collections: The fashion-focused ‘Mainline’ offers a quirky mixture of youthful, edgy pieces, often utilising custom prints; the more sophisticated ‘Classic Label’ is a chic and timeless range, in silk, wool, and natural fibres.

Goulding says now with the addition of a leather shoe and bag collection, Julian Danger is a complete head-to-toe brand – affordable, high quality and with a distinct point of view.

Robinson who brings 25 years of international runway experience having styled Prada, Givenchy and Kenzo previously, worked with Goulding to create a look that was both upbeat and soft.

“The hairstyling concept behind the Julian Danger runway show was about creating a look that was pretty and confident with elements of luxury. We also used a beautiful soft hair accessory teamed up with a semi-structured chignon and Wella product to create lots of texture,” he says.

Designer Shuai Zhang’s Autumn/Winter 16 “Twiggy On The Way” was an eclectic and cutely feminine collection.

Key elements in the design were pleating and patchwork faux fur, colour-blocking in a jolie-laid palette of forest green, biscuit brown, primary red and pink.

For hair Zhang collaborated with Hairstylist of the Year, Lepper, creating a look with an ultra-smooth finish and deep side-swept parting in front.

Wella Professionals spokesperson Krishma Sood says it was wonderful to see the collaboration between the designers and stylists bought to life in front of so many media and buyers.

“The Wella Professionals Presents show provided us with the ultimate opportunity to highlight how important hair is when it comes to creating a look. We were honoured to work with Amy-Rose and Shuai and bring to life the important partnership between great hair and great design,” she says.
