With over 30 uniquely themed walls, Glen Eden Extreme Edge ClimbZone is a revolution in child-centred climbing and is a great place for kids to begin their climbing journey. Catering for kids from three years plus and all fitness levels, ClimbZone is one of the most inclusive family-friendly activities in the Auckland area, and their creatively themed ClimbZone walls are guaranteed to entertain, exercise and exhilarate the entire family.

The colourful ClimbZone area with state-of-the-art automatic belays makes the perfect family-friendly activity suited to family outings, school trips and children’s birthday parties. Parents can watch their kids’ faces light up as they conquer their fears and master the themed climbing walls, and kids don't need any special climbing gear either. They an simply come along in comfortable, free-flowing clothes (jeans and skirts are not recommended) and shoes/trainers.

Harnesses and climbing shoes can be hired for a very reasonable price and there are always instructors on hand at all times to help families out. The Glen Eden Extreme Edge gym is also disabled friendly.

Rock Hoppers:
8 - 16 years I Monday 4:30 - 6:00 or Saturday 9:00 - 10:30

This Class is tailored for beginner to intermediate climbers looking to improve/gain basic climbing skills and technique. Throughout this course the staff focus on belay safety skills, climbing proficiency, gear, rope knowledge and training drills all taught in a fun-focused and safe environment. Towards the end of the course students are introduced and encouraged to start lead climbing.

Super Hoppers:

10 - 17 years I Monday 6:30 - 8:00

This class builds further on the Rock Hopper class. In this class they focus on more advanced techniques, have a strong focus on personal safety, and rope management skills, lead climbing/belaying, abseiling and bouldering.  This is a fast-paced and challenging course, so the team recommend at least one term completed in Rock Hoppers before graduating to Super Hoppers.
