“NZC and Sky TV have done a great job in putting this event together at short notice and we hope the New Zealand public supports the players participating in the two matches on the day and gets behind this good cause.”
Dion Nash said: “All the players are looking forward to supporting the relief effort but weren’t so sure about facing up to the young tearaways in the NZ U19 team! However, once we get on the field I am sure that competitive edge will take over and we will be very determined to win.”

“NZC is willing to contribute in anyway it can to the relief effort and would ask cricket supporters to assist World Vision’s campaign,” he said.
