As spring is well and truly here now, prospective brides find themselves thinking about their summer wedding and, of course, they have the excitement of planning their wedding dress and those of their bridesmaids. While they are in the beginning stages of planning and purchasing it is important to take into account the fact that most weddings in New Zealand take place in the months between November and February, in other words, during the summer months.
However, the brilliant team at Meg’s Tailoring are busy all year round with dressmaking, garment restyling, clothing alterations and mending and for them the bridal season never ends, and summer is the ‘bridal season’ which keeps them busier than ever. However, they are much happier if they are given plenty of time in which to create the perfect bridal gown, and they are at their best when they are advising first time, or even second time around brides on their ‘big day’.
Often brides come to them with their own pre-conceived ideas on what they want their gown to look like and Meg’s girls are more than happy to totally accurately reproduce their client’s ideas. However, it is more than likely that the bride-to-be won’t have a clue as to what she wants and this is where the Meg’s Tailoring team come into their own.
Meg’s Tailoring service includes designing, creating and fitting a bridal gown as well as restyling and altering any gown that the bride might provide.
Also, the professional team at Meg’s Tailoring are very adept at taking in or letting out bridal gowns and bridesmaids’ dresses, and there is also the challenge of dressing the wedding party, where many brides are buying bridesmaids’ dresses and having them altered and changed to fit all the different shapes of their blushing bridesmaids. They may have four or five differently shaped girls but have bought only one or two sizes of dresses – Meg’s Tailoring to the rescue!
