Return to Paradise Resort was privileged to host the House of Travel Executive team for their fishing trip to Samoa. While at the Resort, the team were treated to the popular Saturday Maeva String Band, which is made up of some of the Resort’s gardeners and waiters. Maeva Band recently took out Top Honours as Best String Band in the Teuila Festival National competitions.

The guests enjoyed a sumptuous international buffet while enjoying the concert, with the programme consisting of popular English and Samoan songs and concluding with some fast-paced, exhilarating Samoan cultural dances. Said House of Travel’s Managing Director Chris Paulsen, “This was the best Pacific entertainment I have seen in 40 years of travel in the Pacific.

The House of Travel team enjoyed the Resort so much that three of the Executives said they were coming back for holidays and bringing their own families with them. “This is a huge compliment to us, “says Resort General Manager Ramona Su’a Pale, “These are very experienced travel industry personnel who have literally visited hundreds of resorts over the years. So when they say they are choosing Return to Paradise Resort as the holiday destination for their own families, this shows the level of confidence they have in what we have to offer.

At Return to Paradise Resort, you can expect to experience the Samoan way of life through activities such as basket weaving, umu (underground cooking), prayer sessions, island night bands, visits to nearby villages and even thrilling fire dances. Samoans take tremendous pride in the landscaping of their homes, properties and environment, and this is also evident all around the resort.  It has been created with Samoan architecture, carvings and gardens that are designed to make you, as their guests, feel special and invited into their homes. The resort was designed with love and a Samoan touch.  It has to be… for this is the Samoan thing to do.
