Gaze Commercial attended the New Zealand Commercial Project Awards in May, winning a Silver Award for their Datacom project. This project involved consolidating Datacom’s five Auckland offices, into one cohesive location, dissolving silos and encouraging cross-communication. As Datacom’s Director, Vernon Kay said, “The project was delivered on time and within a tight budget. Gaze found creative ways of achieving a high quality finish without a high price tag.”

The prestigious New Zealand Commercial Project Awards programme sets the benchmark for commercial construction in New Zealand. It is all about celebrating the completed construction project and the team relationships that achieve them. Entry is open to all New Zealand based commercial constructon project partners, including contractors, architects, building owners, engineers and quantity surveyors etc. All entries have the potential to achieve Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, as well as National Category wins and the coveted Supreme Award each year.

The New Zealand Commercial Project Awards have been designed by a group of commercial contractors, who are committed to celebrating excellence in their craft. These awards aim to promote and encourage excellent building processes and practices within the commercial construcion sector, and to celebrate the quality of work and craftsmanship required in delivering a superior commercial project, while promotong the wider team.

They also aim to promote the contractors’ contribution to the construction relationship and the genuine value of the construction process, and the awards are valued by contractors, their commercial construction partners and clients alike. This  awards programme is the only one that awards the work of a team in delivering a ‘mark of quality’.
