Kendal Read started The Building Co. just a year after qualifying as a carpenter at the age of 19. With only two staff to begin with, the company soon expanded, and early contracts included the foundations and framing for 50 houses at Gulf Harbour. With this experience under his belt, Kendal bought his first property, a house and section in Glenfield, when only 22.

His development and sale of the property – which was featured in the TV show The Property Ladder, provided further invaluable experience, and over the next ten years he has carried out many full contracts for both clients and his own developments. As a result, he offers clients an in-depth understanding of the building and property development process, including budgeting, project management and all areas of design consent for both housing and subdivisional works.
