With spring not far away Queenstown helicopter tour operator Heli Tours is promoting their Scenic Soaker flights. Tourists can enjoy a short 10 minute scenic flight from Queenstown airport over Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu before landing at a selected helipad where they are greeted by a staff member from Onsen Hot Pools. They can enjoy a one-hour private hot pool soak at Queenstown’s only private indoor/outdoor hot pools, high on the cliffs overlooking the Shotover River Canyon.

Their complimentary shuttle service can pick tourists up in central Queenstown and bring them to their base at the Queenstown Airport. After check in the pilot will take tourists through a short safety briefing before boarding the helicopter.

In the scenic flight over the crystal clear waters of Lake Wakatipu, visitors can see Queenstown from above and watch mountains disappear far into the horizon. Landing at their alpine heli-pad a member of staff from Onsen Hot Poools will greet tourists and transfer them by road to their facility a short drive away.

Tourists can relax and enjoy a one-hour soak in your own private hot pool situated high on a cliffside overlooking the magnificent Shotover River canyon, providing views over breathtaking alpine scenery. It is also a perfect vantage point to watch the Shotover Jet jetboats on the river below. After the blissful soak the staff at Onsen Hot Pools the tourists will return by road to central Queenstown. The popular Scenic Soaker flights needs advance bookings.

Spring is also ideal for picnics. Heli Tours can fly tourists over beautiful clear lakes, native beech forest, historic gold mining remains, braided rivers and remote high country farms and ranches. They can enjoy a gourmet antipasto picnic in a private location and breathe in the fresh clean mountain air. This 45-minute return flight to a remote alpine lake (either Lochanghar or Lake Isobel) is complete with an antipasto platter lunch including all food, wine and beer. The flight includes approximately a 1-hour stop for lunch beside the lake which is only accessible by helicopter.
