Dairy women throughout New Zealand are about to get another boost to their dairy operations with a new partnership between New Zealand’s largest networks of Chartered Accounting firms, NZ CA, and the Dairy Women's Network.

NZ CA is an association of 29 of New Zealand’s leading Independent Chartered Accounting firms that has a strong rural presence and good understanding of agribusiness while the Dairy Women's Network is a not for profit organisation with a focus of supporting woman in dairying in New Zealand to be the best they can be both on and off farm.

“Empowerment, knowledge and making connections are what we value most within the NZ CA,” Alan Hay, Executive Officer of NZ CA said. “These values are totally aligned with those of the Dairy Women's Network and are a good starting point for this new partnership.”

“Our strong knowledge base in agri-business, specifically around sustainable, resilient and profitable agricultural business practice, means there are plenty of opportunities for us to work together with Dairy Women's Network members to add significant value and help drive the rural sector forward.”

Dairy Women's Network CEO Jules Benton is thrilled with the new partnership saying she has no doubt the expertise within the NZ CA network will be of great benefit to Dairy Women's Network members.

“As a collective they are a powerful source of information and intellect,” she said. “They are very in tune with the New Zealand rural economy and will undoubtedly provide ongoing valuable insight into good business opportunities and best business practice for our members.”

“The Dairy Women’s Network has become an influential industry participant, and partnerships with organisations like NZ CA helps us support our members so they are in the best position possible to run successful businesses and add value to the dairy industry of New Zealand.”

Benton said that NZ CA individual firms were very well respected in their regions, and had a good understanding of challenges faced by New Zealand farmers.

“21 of the 29 NZ CA member firms specialise in rural accounting, and they provide good nationwide coverage,” she said. “We are really looking forward to their support at Dairy Women Network events where we can learn from their experience, gain good insights and challenge existing farming paradigms to continue to drive innovation and performance in agri-business.”
