Local property investment seminar a sell-out event.

A local property investment company's series of sold-out events demonstrate Chrisrchurch's high level of interest in property, says Managing Director, Andrew Nicol.

The double-bill of property investment seminars are happening next week at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Christchurch (6th and 7th of August).

Both Nicol and Tony Mounce, from Tony Mounce Mortgages and Insurance, will be speaking. The pair will cover the current mortgage market and will offer general advice about investing property.

"Over the last 5 years the average property in New Zealand increased in value by $160,000," Nicol says, "this has created equity in regular Kiwis homes". 

Homeowners can use this equity to purchase investment properties, which is what the company puts the interest in the property investment seminar down to. 

Over 400 Cantabrians have registered to attend the events over two evenings.
