Eurofins, a New Zealand leader in laboratory and advisory services, has achieved IANZ accreditation recognising the hard work their Dunedin laboratory has done in the field of food microbiology testing. The accreditation, achieved in June 2019, has empowered Eurofins’ Dunedin laboratory to issue certificates of compliance in the form of test or inspection reports for aerobic plate count, bacillus cereus, e. coli, listeria, salmonella, staphylococcus aureus, total coliforms, and yeast and mould.
International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) is part of New Zealand’s accreditation council and a full signatory member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), as well as the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC). IANZ works alongside many government agencies to develop international trading opportunities for New Zealand exporters and play a major role supporting every level of New Zealand trade. Their accreditations bestow upon NZ organisations a high level of credibility with clients and customers.
Eurofins’ full-service microbiology laboratory in Dunedin has been steadily and rapidly expanding its presence in the region over recent years, striving to serve their community and industry with world-class laboratory services. Their IANZ accreditation has empowered the laboratory to extend its Ministry for Primary Industry approved RLP programme during the month of July 2019 and can now accept samples in need of US-OMAR export testing such as STEC.
The IANZ accreditation bestowed upon Eurofins formally recognises the laboratory for their staff competence and experience, the technical validity of their methods, the credibility and suitability of their testing results, their compliance with the requisite management systems standards, and the integrity and traceability of their equipment and materials.
