IoT companies are becoming more and more relevant in the modern-day world, and it’s because we’re all beginning to realise the importance of minimising our energy consumption. Ulrich Frerk, owner and founder of IoT company Adroit, has been an advocate of the benefits of the Internet of Things for years. In his thirty-minute seminar slot with Facilities Integrate 2019, he will be discussing some of the most innovative ways IoT has been integrated into our world.

Convenience technology is a huge market in our industrialised, globalised world, but convenience rarely goes hand-in-hand with an environmentally-conscious approach. Companies like Amazon ship their packages every day while burning tons of jet fuel into the atmosphere, and people leave devices on to consume electricity simply because they want to come back to a warm home. Frerk and Scott Pollard, a representative from Vodafone, will both be speaking in the seminar about how IoT devices can push humanity toward a resolution.

With Iot, we are able to combine convenience and environmentally-sensitive practices. We can provide spaces that are happier, healthier and more accommodating for everyone on Earth; people with disabilities, people with sensitivities to light and sound, and people with mental illnesses. We can lower our overall power consumption with intelligent use of IoT, and farm more sustainably by implementing smart devices into farming practices. IoT providers are becoming more prolific because the time is right to change how we think of the digital sphere. The world is open, and it’s time to push it into the future.
