One month until Ruapehu Cycle Classic

The Merida Bikes Ruapehu Cycle Classic is all go for 2008.

Happy New Year!! It’s going to be a great year, and just one month to go until the 2nd Merida Bikes Ruapehu Cycle Classic. Saturday Feb 9th will see a bunch of cyclists embark on 160km around Mt Ruapehu, including the incredibly scenic section along the Desert Road.

It’s not often that cyclists have the opportunity to ride the Desert Road, and if the prevailing south west wind blows, it’s a tail wind for 52km!!

Entries have already exceeded the 2007 event, and this year we will have a great team from Merida showing off their bikes and showing us all how to ride around the mountain!
