If you go down to the woods today…

It’s that time of year again as littlies from across the district venture out with their teddies to partake in the annual Summerdaze Teddy Bears’ Picnic this weekend.

Teddy Bears’ picnics would take place in Queenstown on Saturday January 19 in the Gardens and Wanaka on Sunday January 20 at the Dinosaur Park, both kicking off at 12.00 noon.

“This year is set to be bigger than ever! We’ve got a merry-go-round coming up from Dunedin, adding to the already fun-filled afternoon for the kids,” Summerdaze coordinator Alastair McIlwrick said.

Along with the merry-go-round, both events would feature a bouncy castle, face painting, hula-hooping, carnival games, story telling, local dancers, lolly scrambles and much more.

“There is also a very special guest making an appearance at both events and plenty of prizes to be won,” Mr McIlwrick said.

“This is an afternoon not to be missed, so bring the kids and their favourite teddies and enjoy a fun-filled occasion for all ages. Don’t forget a picnic or some money to buy food and drinks from the fundraising food stalls,” he said.
