The annual State of the Nation address by a leading Politician to Orewa Rotary Club will this year again be held on January 29th Tuesday at Rotary House .Silverdale.

The speaker is the Right Hon Jim Anderton, no 3 in cabinet and Minister of many portfolios that impact on the NZ economy
[Minister of Agriculture, Bio Security, Fisheries, Forestry, and Public Trust, Associate Minister of Health, Tertiary Education]

He will speak on "Economic Challenges for NZ in 2008 and beyond" His experiences and portfolios will make this a State of the Nation speech that is very focuused on where NZ is right now and what could and will be done.

This annual speech has marked the start of many Political campaigns and this year being election year it is sure to get extensive coverage for its contents. Previous speakers have been Prime ministers, leaders of the Opposition, and future party leaders, and Ministers of the crown , all pleased to be at Orewa Rotary for the respect the Club has for its guest speakers and their messages of NZ Economic importance.
