Water restriction announcements

 Thames Coromandel District Council wishes to announce the following water restrictions are in place until further notice.

• TOTAL SPRINKLER AND HOSE BAN The use of sprinklers and hoses are banned in the following communities: MATATOKI

• SPRINKLER BAN The use of sprinklers is banned in the following communities: THAMES, TAIRUA, PAUANUI, COROMANDEL

•THERE ARE NO WATER RESTRICTIONS CURRENTLY IN PLACE FOR THE FOLLOWING COMMUNITIES:Matarangi, Whitianga, Hahei, Whangamata, Onemana, Puriri

FOR RESIDENTS AND VISITORSPLEASE DO PLEASE DO NOT Take short showers not baths Fix any leaks and dripping taps

Use full loads to wash Clothes/dishes Wash cars, boats or trucks 

Fill swimming pools Water the garden in the heat of the day Clean driveway/patio with hose
