This year the Senior Contact League will have Registration Nights at the Grading Sessions, rather than postal registrations. We must have an indication of how many players intend to play in this League so that a budget and schedule can be finalized.

On Ice Assessments:
Senior A or Unsure Saturday 15th March 4.00pm dressed for ice, for jersey allocation
Premier Sunday 16th March 4.15pm dressed for ice, for jersey allocation

Premier Players must Grade every year. Senior A Players are graded every second year. The majority of last years Senior A players are due for grading again this year. Players are asked to come to trials on the dates shown above. Registrations will be taken at those sessions.

All players will be assessed as being either Premier Grade, Senior A or non-contact players. Dmitry Gunchenko will carry out this assessment on ice.

Players may choose to trial only for the Senior A grade and/or who prefer not to play Premier hockey. Players who are unsure of their level in Seniors, should come to the Senior A trial and mark the unsure selection on their registration forms. This will not preclude your selection into a Premier Team if you have the required ability.

In order that we know how many players we will have to fill how many teams it is imperative that the Pre registration forms be returned to the Registrar by the 5th March 2008. These can be emailed back to the email address below, or posted to the above address.

After players have been sorted into their grades, existing players will still have the ability to either play in their 2007 team, or move teams according to the Senior League Rules. All new players in the Senior League will have to go into the draft system for whichever grade they have been assessed for. This draft system will be explained to you along with notification of your grading. If you are graded as a non-contact player only, you will be referred to the Senior Non Contact League.

If you are unable to attend either of the trial dates it is imperative that you notify the registrar as soon as possible so we can arrange for an assessment at some other venue. Please either email Ivana Gaffikin, our Registrar on at www.ciha.co.nz under the senior contact league.

Goaltenders – please write on the top of your registration form that you are a goaltender.
