Kerbside Collections Watch Out For Changes To The System

If you live in Dannevirke and have noticed two rubbish trucks in the street instead of just one, don’t be surprised.
Over the next few weeks the kerbside waste and recycling contractor, Solid Waste Services (Dannevirke) Ltd, will be trialing a new system the council’s waste manager Jeremy Hirst reports.
So there will be two trucks – one for refuse collections and the other for recycling.
Mr Hirst said that the southern end of the district would remain the same until the new system had proved itself.
Collection days will be unchanged.
Users will also notice that the new transfer station charges have started.
These are $8 per car and $18 for all other vehicles and per cubic meter.
