Hollywood TV Casting Director Coming to Auckland

TVI Actors Studio presents 'Acting in America' Master Class/Seminar.

TVI Actors Studio, America's largest acting school and resource center for actors, brings Los Angeles Casting Director, Nick Anderson from the six time Emmy award-winning Hollywood casting offices of "Desperate Housewives" and "Prison Break" to Auckland on Saturday, July 26th. This intensive seminar teaches actors to market themselves in America and features a Master Class with 20 actors working on scripts with Nick Anderson and the acclaimed seminar "Business of Acting in America -- An Actors' Guide to Working in Los Angeles and New York" presented by Alan S. Nusbaum.

 

Nick Anderson, who works at the prestigious offices of Junie Lowry-Johnson Casting, states, "Australian and New Zealand actors are becoming a large part of the LA industry. As a casting director I am thrilled to work with new international talent." Office television credits include: ABC-TV'S Desperate Housewives, Dirty Sexy Money and Ugly Betty, Prison Break, HBO's In Treatment, Big Love and Deadwood. His film credits include: Witless Protection and Mad Money.

 

Alan S. Nusbaum, founder and CEO of TVI Actors Studio, was formerly a talent agent representing actors including Sandra Bullock, Courtney Cox, Jerry Orbach and Tonya Pinkins. "There is a clear need for actors to learn how to manage their careers. I encourage actors to treat an acting career like a business," states Nusbaum. The seminar features video interviews with prominent casting directors, agents, producers and an American immigration attorney. Mr. Nusbaum will guide actors step-by-step through all aspects of establishing an acting career in the US in this career-changing workshop.
