The Waikato Draught Tough Guy and Gal Challenge is on again this coming Saturday16th August at Lakes Ranch, just 15 minutes east of Rotorua on SH30.
This unique off-road running event challenges competitors to tackle two laps of a 6km course containing a variety of natural and man-made obstacles that includes a huge swamp crossing, greasy mud, a crawl under barbwire, a tricky spider’s web crawl, a slippery rope climb, water trails, the wobbly wire rope bridge, the Waikato Draught hurdles along with magnificent bush trails and fast open paddocks. A social one lap (6km) option is also available.
Event Director, Murray Fleming of Event Promotions says “There is nothing like it – this event is a great mix of fun and mayhem but provides an exceptional and unique challenge for all competitors.”
With a maximum field of 2000 competitors registered for this weekends challenge, unfortunately no late entries will be taken on the day however a 2nd event on the 23rd August still has space available.
The event starts at 11.00am so make sure you get along with the family and witness this amazing spectacle - The 2008 Waikato Draught Tough Guy and Gal Challenge is on Saturday 16 August at the Lakes Ranch complex, just east of Rotorua on SH30 (opposite Hells Gate).
