Schedule for Auckland Boobs on Bikes Parade, Wednesday 20th August 2008

Following is our notice given to Boobs on Bikes participants.

Start Point: Cross Street, upper Queen Street at 12:45pm, Wednesday 20th August.

Finish: Approximately 2.00pm at Customs Street

Route: As shown on map attached; straight down Queen Street, to Customs Street. At Customs Street motorcycles and cars will turn right and disband; tanks will turn left and proceed to Halsey Street to re-load.

Pre-assembly: Where: Vixen offices, 45 Stanhope Rd, Ellerslie.

When: 12.00 midday

Media Interviews: To be done in Cross Street prior to start please. Steve Crow will be available there from 12 noon.

2 x Tanks and one military armoured car

Motorcycles,

Promotional vehicles, cars etc.

Police tail vehicles.

Summary of What is Planned:

Tanks x 2 will unload from a low-loader at approx. 9am at Queen St just South of Cross Street.

Motorcycle and car vehicles will pre-assemble offsite at Vixen office and have passengers positioned for a discreet ride to the Assembly Point at Cross Street to be there no later than 12:30pm.

Note: Cross Street is one way and usually entered from Queen Street; that is being reversed by the police for Boobs on Bikes and to access Cross Street enter Mercury Lane from K-Rd and then turn left into Cross Street.]

Depart Cross Street at 12.45pm – Police to lead then lead car, tanks, bikes, promo vehicles. End vehicle is the Erotica Car.

Police will lead the event and their will be outride Police motorcycles to assist with crowd control.

Proceed down Queen Street at approx. 15km/hr; conditions permitting.

Police presence at Intersections will prevent access onto the road by other vehicles and pedestrians.

Traffic lights will be synchronized by Police to ensure parade does not encounter any red-lights.

Disassembly:

2 x tanks and Armoured vehicle make their own way to Halsey Street wharf.

All other parade vehicles disperse at bottom of Queen Street turning Right into Customs Street East & go via Beach Rd back to Vixen Base to drop off passengers.

Legal: This is important so please read carefully.

1. All road rules are to be obeyed please; all bike passengers and riders to wear helmets.

2. Passengers in convertible cars can sit up on seat backs while going down Queen Street only.

3. Remember, it is perfectly legal for you all to do this so you should have no problems - the police have historically done a fantastic job helping us with crowd control so please comply with their requests; they are for your safety.

4. Please stay on your bikes, in the cars etc.
