Wellington - Escaped Prisoner

At approx 1230hrs today a prisoner has absconded from Mt Crawford Prison in Wellington.Police are appealing to the public for information related to sightings of the missing prisoner.
He is described as a male part Maori 30 years old, solid build, brown eyes,1.8m tall,short black hair,on the back of his right hand is tattooed a picture of a glove, on his right wrist the letters 'FTW' are tattooed.He was last seen wearing grey trousers, a grey top with the letters 'WRP' on the back of it and black work boots.He could possbibly be wearing green waterproof over trousers and a high visibility vest.
He is considered to be dangerous and should not be approached, any sightings in the greater Wellington area call police immediatly on 111.
For people in the Miramar area - if you have had your car taken or any other suspicious activity such as clothing taken from the line please all report this to police asap.
