Dam Protection Averts Erosion

Protection work on the Woodville impounded water supply (town dam) has been completed and will avert future erosion.

The council’s manager district assets Stephen Taylor said that the newly constructed rock reinforcement “would restore the integrity of the dam.”

A windy spring had caused wave action against the side of the water supply dam causing some erosion that could further deteriorate if left unrepaired, he said.
