Dancing with the stars winner Aaron Gilmore will hold a major dance workshop in Christchurch next month.

Gilmore, formerly of Christchurch and now Auckland-based, won Dancing with the Stars with Lorraine Downes in 2006. Gilmore was in the top four with Greer Robson last year and danced with Tina Cross this year.

Some of the proceeds to the October 3 beginners dance workshop at Halswell School will go to the Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Gilmore Dancing has been busy since the last Dancing with the stars show working out and training with ex-league star Monty Beetham. Their friendship developed from the show this year. They are both young fathers. They are the same age; and their wives are Jaimee (Aaron’s) and Jayme (Monty’s).

The fulltime Auckland dancer and father of two has been dancing for 20 years and has a long list of titles and achievements.

He has represented New Zealand in Australia and England and was among the top 24 in the world at a dance event in Blackpool, England, several years ago.
