The Grains Council of New Zealand, the arable industry group of Federated Farmers, is holding its annual conference next week. Media are welcome to attend.
Where: Hotel Ashburton, Racecourse Road, Ashburton.
When: 6pm, Tuesday June 26, 2007 - Ravensdown Wheat Quality Awards.
8.30am, Wednesday June 27, 2007 – Grains Council Annual Conference/ AGM.
The winners of the Ravensdown Wheat Quality Awards will be announced on Tuesday night. Growers are judged on stewardship, industry best practice and produce quality. The Grains Council annual conference and AGM follows on Wednesday.
Speakers at the conference include John Mackenzie from PGG Wrightson Grain and Seed, and Chris Mortlock from Midland Seeds. Grains Council chair Andrew Gillanders will speak at 2:30pm on June 27.
